It's not strictly of use for the empeg, but I came across this utility for automating the downloading of album art. I'm using the qt/X11 version but there seems to be binaries for windows too. Well worth a look.

Have you tried this? Does it put the cover art in the individual track tags, or does it make a cover.jpg in the album folder? Looks cool.

Thanks,

Jim

I'm just using it to place a jpg and a png in the album folder (they're actually all flac files) but there is an option to place it in the tags, you can even set the type of picture too (front cover, back cover, inside, etc.).

Very cool indeed, I might give it a try. I tried some program like this (may have been this one for Windows), but never got around to using it for all my albums. Thanks for posting about it, I'm going to get the Windows version now...

I tried this, but one thing I found annoying was that it couldn't read FLAC tags. I have my files well organized, so it was able to find things based on folder and file names, but still.

Also, there's no way to actually embed art into flac or ogg files. That's not the fault of this program. There just isn't a standard for that in the ogg tags.
