My empeg 2 has mysteriously stopped working! All I get is the No hard disk found; Pleas contact support with a lovely dead mandrake penguin. I ref;ashed the image just to make sure there was nothing there unplugged hardrive and reconnected everything. Still no luck. I can access the HiJack kernel options and everything except for the hard drive. Help! I don't want to loose everything!

Please hook up to your empeg using a serial (null modem) cable, connect to it with a terminal program, and post the output here so we can get an idea what might be wrong.

It's probably the HDD died or the Cable. Did you try plugging the drive into the free connector on the IDE cable.

Once again hats off to Tony. YOU ARE GOD!

Bad IDE cable. Works fine when I have the hardrive on the second connector. Contacted support so hopefully I get a replacement for free. Thanks again!

Careful, talk like that might go to my head.

Thanks, glad you're working again.
