Ok, after diving into the Wireless Mesh technology a bit, it looks like Synology has the best solution, as far as I can tell so far, mostly because of its superb management software built into its mesh routers (only two products).

Better than that, possibly, is a low-end Ubiquiti solution.

Again, this is what I seem to understand after few hours learning.
