Trying to install Empeg-preinit and it's not working. My Empeg will not let me write into the /etc directory. Specifically, I get this at the prompt:

I'm sorry if this is something obvious, but I can't figure it out.
I'm running 2.11b and Hijack v271 on a Mark II. Also possibly of note, I just replaced the HD.

You're missing:

quote site rw

.
between the "bin" and the "put"

And to piggyback another quick problem, since I replaced the HD the unit never seems to remember what "info" setting I left it on - it always reverts to "Transient" on a restart.

I'm beginning to think I did something wrong when I replaced the drive - but everything else is working just fine.

Is this at home or in the car ? There is a bug with 2.11 that causes that behavior at home.
