I have a MK2a running 2.0 B11 with Hijack V269. I have been trying to connect to Emplode using a serial connection but it does not seem to find it. It finds the USB connection but not the Serial. I have options set to look for serial and USB connections. It has worked in the past but now it does not. I am able to use Tony's Logo Editor to upgrade Hijack. I was getting a Hijack Config error while still running V250 and it continued once I upgraded to V269. I went to Favorite Visuals in Emplode when hooked up via USB and it was corrupt, so I deleted all visuals from favorites and resyched. When I did this the Hijack config error does not come up at start up any more. I thought that would help, but I still can't hook up via serial. Any ideas???

At the moment, the FAQ at www.riocar.org is down. But when it comes back up in a couple hours, please locate the entry on "Hyperterminal" and look through that. Try to connect to the player with Hyperterminal. If you can't see the player in Hyperterminal, then Emplode won't be able to see it either. There are several possible things that could be going wrong with the connection, and they're covered in that FAQ entry.

But be sure to terminate Hyperterminal before trying to connect... Also stop any services (typically things like the Palm Pilot syncer etc) that may sit on the serial port.
