When downloading certain songs, I get this error. The funny thing is that I don't have it with all songs (but nearly all). Anybody know what could be the cause?
I'm using 2.00 b11 btw. Nothing else installed.

Define "downloading".

Do you mean sending new tunes to the player? We tend to call that uploading.

If you mean grabbing tunes off of the player onto your PC using the "Download" feature in Emplode, please check to see if the songs have any unusual characters in the artist, album, or Title fields. For example, characters that are not allowed in Windows such as \ / : * ? " < > |

Sorry, yes, I mean downloading from the empeg back onto the PC using emplode.
I just restarted the PC I use for the empeg to look for unusual characters in the song titles like you asked and guess what ... everything's working fine again.

Sjees, I always tell the guys from our helpdesk that the first thing they have to tell a 'client' in case of a problem is to reboot the PC (we're on NT4) and I didn't even think of it myself, go figure.

Still weird though as certain songs downloaded just fine, others produced the error immediatly and most songs produced the error when the downloading process was nearly completed. I'm puzzled.
I don't think it was the empeg as I synchronized a couple of times and pulled the power plug a couple of times. Ah, long live Micro$hite I guess

OH MY GOD! I'm sooo embarassed ! It was indeed disk space. Before shutting down, I deleted some files so obviously it's working now. Oh man, I feel so utterly stupid ... . Still, I'm glad I now know what the problem was. Faq entry?
