can someone tell me the easiest way to clear the plays? (the number of times a song is played)

I was thinking if i downgrade to 1.03 and then back up to 2.0b11 it might work, because I don't think the plays started until 2.0bx. Can't hurt, right?

Can't be done? What does "Reset Metadata" in the right-click menu of Emplode do, then? I've never used it but I assumed that it cleared things like the play count, marked status, etc.

No, it resets the 'codec', 'duration' and 'offset' tags. Resetting the dynamic data (play/skip count) is not supported by the emplode/emptool protocol -- effectively, it's read-only as far as emplode is concerned.

If you want to nuke the lot, then write zeroes all over the dynamic data partition.

Think resetting the dynamic data stuff would be an achievable post-2.0 wishlist item?
