There's been a lot of comment on dead batteries comming from the factory (which mine was), but has anyone else had the problem of their remote eating through batteries in about a month? My co-worker and I replaced our batteries about a month ago and both just went dead again. He replaced his battery and it is working fine again; I haven't yet replaced mine. We are both wondering if there is something causing the remotes to continually draw power (I hardly ever use mine). We both are sure this was a battery problem and not the input lockup problem.

Have you tested the batteries to ensure that they really are dead? The battery terminals on the Rio remotes can be a little dodgy - it may just be the act of replacing the battery that gets it working again.
The terminals can be re-positioned using a small screwdriver. I'll do a movie to show what needs to be done at some point.

Ooo, please make a movie! I tried bending the contacts on mine, but they seemed really fragile, so I didn't want to take a chance. But, a movie would be of great help.

Yeah, I'll seccond the movie. I've got two remotes sitting on my desk, and neither of them work. One works sometimes with one battery out of the three batterys I have. (not the new battery from rat shack, one that came with one of the remotes.) I've tried looking inside the remotes, but havn't been able to see much.

OK, but this time, could we have a bit more depth in the characters and dialogue? I mean, what's their motivation? In order for a good plot line there has to be conflict and resolution. If you have any hopes whatsoever for this movie to become a box office success, you are going to have to address these issues.

But where the empeg lands safely on the floor! And the driver puts it in to see if it will boot up - before even checking to make sure he himself is okay!

Ohhh Matchbox cars, I always favored those over Hot Wheels...
Must be because my brother had a bunch from when my family (father) was stationed in Manchester, before I was of this Earth... I showed up after my father retired from the USAF and moved to Arizona...

And then, to make things worse that crazy Dr. Richard Kimball starts chasing him down for murdering Kimball's wife!

an then when he's running from Kimball and trying to fix his remote at the same time Tommy Lee Jones can have a cameo and start casing him too...

I see another thread gone completely off the rails. Damn. I also always preferred Matchbox to Hotwheels while growing up. Their cars were of a much higher quality. Can't say the same right now for the regular-priced stuff.
