Just got my empeg installed in the car, I also got one of the Pioneer steering wheel remotes setup through Hijack. Only problem is it doesn't work in the car. I think the angle the remote is mounted at fouls the case of the empeg. If it was mounted on a left hand drive car I doubt there would be a problem.

My question is, has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you get around it? I thought something reflective but not conductive to stick near the IR eye to bounce the signal but I'm open to better solutions...

Maybe just a new battery for the pioneer remote? To make the infrared LED "shine" brighter?

Suppose I could give it a go. Although the battery was 'new' when it was bundled with the remote (showed 3.2v when tested) but I got caught out by this on my first rio remote.
