It would be nice if there was a TV out so the Empeg Visuals could be
displayed on my TV at home.

Sure! An RF modulator with video out wouldn't have any impact on the unit's cost, or cause any electronic noise problems. Not at all. And a monochrome 32x128 pixel image would look fantastic on an HDTV- the aspect ratio's pretty close.

Now, now Tony.... are we excercising just a wee bit of sarcasm here?

There is no need for the sarcastic remarks,

The thing is I use my empeg alot at home and have trouble seeing the display from the other side of the room. I think a TV output would be a brilliant addition to the Empeg, of course the output would have to be improved for the TV with higher resolution and some colour. As for fitting a composite output to the Empeg I don't think there would be many problems with noise, if they can combat interference from two hard drives I am sure they could do that.

I also think the visuals are currently wasted on the Empeg, the display is too small and how many people can watch them while driving? The only time I have really used them is to demonstrate the unit to friends. I just think they would be better suited to the home environment on a larger screen.

Tony wasn't being rude; his (rather amusing) point was that yes, the visuals look quite cool on the Empeg unit, but they are actually not going to look very cool on your TV.

He's quite right about that. Interesting idea, though.

Sorry, there's no video controller on the empeg and there's no room to add one. It's not really a priority, either. Not for an in-car product anyway :)

I'll refrain from making any comments about the absurdity of TV-out on a mobile audio product. I will, however, immediately call my plumber to find out why my kitchen faucet didn't come with a beer tap.
