I have a 99 audi A4.... Grabbed the power antena adaptor, stupidly pluged the remote wire from the adaptor into a 12v source... (I know very stupid)... so I caught my mistake after I plugged it into the tuner module, now after succesfully rewiring... all I get is AM... the signal strength for the fm station shows as being there, however all I here is a fuzzy drone.... have I done something really bad here?

Although it is possible that you may have fried something, before you panic, please check these FAQ entries.

well I freaked out a bit and took it to a install shop, the guy there was very familiar with the rio units. He said that the 12v deal wouldn't have done anything anyway being that their designed to take that voltage. However he couldn't make it work either.... He suggested that it was either a software issue or a bad unit.... the idea that I got a bad unit is unsettling because I got it from a user on this BBS for 200 bucks! When I got it, it was supposedly new in box and appeared that way... If it turns out to be a bad tuner is there any way to send it in and get it fixed? Also has anyone reported tuner issues with beta 2.7 with Hijack? I'll definately try reverting back to a earlier version....
