Looking for help...

I tried my empeg in the Insight for the first time. The docking sled is not mounted, yet, but I had to do a dry-run! Everything is great, except the tuner:

both AM and FM reception is extremely weak (no bars on the strength meter) and the auto seek doesn't catch anything. But there are brief moments where the strength meter lights up fully, RDS info pops up on the screen and the volume turns up tremendously.

Looks like an intermittent to me, but I can't find it. I examined all connections. Wiggling the connections does not correlate with the signal coming or going. Any ideas? Do I have a bad tuner?

I know the Insight has an antenna pre-amp, I power it from the amp remote line, so it should be always on.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Yes, I have. I'm not aware of any special adapter required for the Insight. Besides, would that explain the intermittend symptom?

I guess, I'll try using the tuner extension cable and powering the antenna pre-amp from there.
