Doh! Just noticed my player lost all its Player Configuration settings, player name, user information, etc. Wendy filters have disappeared, and my config.ini now reads: "D&>"

I just noticed this so I'm not sure when it happened, but I believe it was with 2.0b7. Probably unrelated, but I also installed hijack v99 today.

Well I guess my config.ini got hosed. Here's a copy of it. Looks like emplode stops reading after a few garbage characters. I was also unable to update the config through emplode while it was corrupted, I had to go into the shell and delete it.

Why didn't you just pull the file to your computer, chop the corrupted garbage from the file, and put it back?

Thats basically what I did, but through emplode. The only thing was emplode wouldn't update the config while it was garbage. The garbage file was still missing stuff at the end, like my favorite visual list, which I had to recreate.

Bizarre - that's almost exactly what mine did. Twice! After ftp-ing my backup copy up it worked for a while and failed again. Same problem - file has lots of junk in it as well as the real config.ini. So I parked a copy of config.ini in /drive0 so I could do all this faster, reinstated it and fscked while watching an interesting program about the Falklands (well interesting to me) and have had no problems since.
