MK2 + B7 developer + Hijack 84

I've seen a post about this somewhere else. Today emplode hung at the "Retrieve database" phase for the 2nd. time (see attached image). In both occasions the player was playing (and thus showing the "synchronizing" dialog) where I usually have it turned "off" before syncing. I managed to grab a serial log this time :

VM: killing process player
buffermem : 249856
page_cache_size : 385
nr_Restored terminal settings
Remounting first music partition read-only
Remounting second music partition read-only
No secondary hard disk
Abnormal player termination
Player received signal 9
Starting bash.
empeg:/empeg/bin#

The difference with last time is that I now had Hijack installed and that it was more 'responsive' to button presses. I even think that it was he same keypress that was fatal : * (menu) but I'm not 100% sure since I didn't really anticipated a crash the 1st time I had this problem.
