Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone out there has installed an empeg in a jeep wrangler yet? Any snags that I should watch out for? And where in the world did you put the amp?

I just finished installing mine on Friday. Into a 1998 Jeep. The only problems that I ran into was with support for the unit in the 1 1/2 DIN slot that the originaly radio occupied. The unit bounces around quite a bit so I supported it with some foam padding. I'm still working on that, but the bouncing hasn't effected the play. I put the amp into the trunk since I usually keep the top off. But I have the add-on trunk that actually makes the trunk lockable. Finally I modified the switch pannel that controls the defroster and wipers on the hard top to hold the serial port that comes off of the docking bay. I'll try to get some pictures this weekend, and if you want them send me an email.

Sure! It would be cool to see what you've done.

Ok, I've got some pictures but they are too large to post to this forum. If you'd like to see them email me at eoghain@primenet.com.
