I'm looking for a cd to get .wav files to set up my audio system. I've got a couple of test cd's but most of the tracks are useless. Specifically, I need frequency repsonse sweeps and individual tones from 20 - 20k Hz. I've heard that these can be made from software. Does anyone know what software or better yet, could someone make me one?

Thanks,
Steve

Many sound-editing packages let you create sine waves, including timed sweeps. I did mine in CoolEdit.

I used CD #103 from AutoSound2000 (link here). Lots of stuff on the CD I didn't use, but it had the basic stepped tones which I used with a Radio Shack soundmeter. I think it was $19 or so, and it came in the mail about 3-4 days after I ordered.

I used GoldWave for all my test tones & frequency sweeps.
