Here's a link to an article on Wired about Apples new iPod device.

The device -- called the iPod -- can be synched with the computer using a high-speed cable connection that allows consumers to download their music into a portable system, which can then be accessed by either a car or home stereo system

The article mentions the Phatbox at the bottom.

I wanna know what car system will be accessing this thing....

The PhatNoise Car Audio System is a portable hard drive that replaces the automobile CD player. Music fans can download music from their PC by synching the device using a high-speed cable connection, also called a firewire. Once the hard drive is loaded with music, the device simply plugs into a computer system installed in the car.

"The problem with other devices is that one of them is portable and runs on batteries and ours is a car device," said Dan Benyamin, PhatNoise co-founder. "There is no elegant way to plug in a device and sit it on the seat of your car."

No elegant way???

I can think of one!!!! AND it doesn't sit on the seat of your car!
