Does anyone know where I can get a replacement front bezel for my Mark2/Rio Car? I had to 'modify' it to fit my car, and now that I hear they will not be producing the Empeg anymore , I would like to get a replacement.

Best regards,

Phil

Might be a bit tricky...

They have never officially sold spare bezels and the tool to make them is worn out, so they won't be making anymore of them. You'll have to ask them nicely if there are any spare "lying around".

I might be experimenting with making custom fascia's if there is enough interest in them & my colored lenses, which aren't moving at the moment so I might stop making those.

Anyway keep your eyes on the board because if I do start making custom fascias I'll post about it.

I like the idea of having a custom milled bezel. I may be able to offer my services for some 3D designs and rendered images for proofing a concept, etc. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

I don't think DarkStorm's Milling machine has a 3D tooling head on it. Would be nice though.

...DarkStorm's Milling Machine...

I have no idea why, but that phrase suddenly struck me as being a PERFECT name for a band.

INDEED!!!

I can almost hear it now...

Announcer: "Now, live, we will hear 'Casualty' from Crash, the debut album by DarkStorm's Milling Machine. DarkStorm, how did you decide on this title and material for your latest hit record?"

DarkStorm: "Well, it was easy. I was watching the very cool new v2.0 visualizations on my empegCar instead of watching the road. I guess you can see where both 'Crash' and 'Casualty' originate from. Actually, 'Tripping Prisoner v2.0' was based on my experiences after the paramedics gave me something to keep me calm while were using the Jaws of Life to cut me out of the car."

Announcer: "There you have it! Inspiration comes in many forms, including, sometimes, a tree. Let's listen..."

...sorry...

Yes and it could be marketed to insane genuises who want to take over the world.

Take him to the lab and put him in the DarkStorm Milling Machine! Mwa ha aha ahha aha aa! But first let me tell you about my plans to conquer the world and have you inadequately tied to that chair

I can see the marketing potential!

I'll vote for the brushed aluminum bezel! (or an aluminium painted one to match my interior)
