Yeah, there appears to be more than one IR receiver there. I looked at 'em when I was replacing the faceplate on my unit.

Follow up questions for the Empeg folks:

- Are there really multiple IR receivers there? If not, what are those other things I see there?
- What is the small strip of semi-transparent plastic on the innner surface of the faceplate? Is that some sort of filter for the IR receivers? Why would they need a filter?

Caution: Do not look into laser with remaining good eye.

There are two IR receivers, one for IRda and one for domestic IR.

The black plastic item is an IR filter that prevents bright sunlight from washing out the signal.
