I went through a few of them and like the Linksys WET54G best.

I was just looking at these yesterday. How easy was it to sort it out with power?

I think they're rated at 5vdc, but I ran mine directly off the car 12v. It seems the poe adapters feed them with something like 16v. I had a pair of these connecting my house and office for about three years, and they never needed rebooting.

I've just got a WRT54G in the trunk running Tomato. Works great.

They can be had cheaper than the wet54g, but they are not as reliable.

Maybe running tomato(e) helps..

haha. so i didn't deal with the car yet, but obviated my need for one of these. i forgot that the setup for our solar array *already had* a custom ethernet to ethernet bridge that ran from our living room (where the enphase solar monitor is) to the office upstairs (where the router is)

application of 2 long ethernet cables and an old 100meg switch, and now our receiver, a Pioneer VSX-1020, is also online. it was the only device in our system which was not: tivo series 3, wii, insignia tv, appletv all do wifi but none will bridge it!
