Visual Basic in the Mac 2008 edition of Office/Excel.

While I want to learn to use AppleScript, I was intending to convert the current excel/vba task to a cgi script any way. I just didn't want to do it now!

Support for Office 2004 was extended due to the lack of VBScript in 2008. It's due to come back in Office 2010.

I dropped a question on the MS support web site to see if I have downgrade rights for the Mac 2008 Office and Student Edition I bought. We will see.

What I could find by googleing was that downgrade rights seem to be available mostly for volume licensing or pro or ultimate versions of MS software.

You can however use any install disk with any valid key, for that media, to do the install of the downgrade. But you must use a phone type activation and have a valid key for the version you are downgrading from.

On a kind of related note, This office 2008 package came with three, unique license keys on to the cd envelope. I've never seen that before.
