While looking for something else, I came across this SATA to 44-pin IDE adapter. Maybe people have already noticed this one; since I converted my empeg to CF, I haven't really been paying much attention to hard drives. But, anyway, it appears to be small enough to fit in the empeg without much problem.

Hm, that'd be a little tight for space behind the display board. Perhaps mount it backwards and use longer IDE cable, converted from flat to round.

Any advantage to going SATA, besides future-proofing?
