Hi!

It's been a long time since I added new songs to my empeg. I switched from windows to linux since then on my main computer. Yesterday, I tried to add a few newly ripped CDs and have a problem with french characters like é, ï, etc.

I currently have songs with such characters in the player and they're fine when looked from the player itself. When I connect with both emplode (in virtualbox) or jemplode, the characters show as two separate entities. It looks like both program use only 1 byte encoding. If I correct those 2 bytes characters inside emplode or jemplode, those characters now show as little squares on the empeg.

What am I missing? Is there an option to turn jemplode and emplode from ansi to utf-8 encoding that I forgot?

I'm running 3.0b11, with emplode 2.10 and jemplode 69(70)

Thanks

Dunno about Jemplode, but for Emplode that's a known bug (and it's in the release notes!). Emplode 2.10 doesn't correctly show non-ASCII characters in its own UI, but it does transfer them correctly to v3 players.

Ah, I thought I checked everything, but didn't look at the release notes.

Thanks!
