Does anyone have a solution for preventing the separation of hard drive cable headers, as shown in
this picture? Every few months, mine loosen up causing boot problems (hang at "Starting Audio") and the drive clicks at startup before the "No hard disk found" message.
I thought about putting hot glue across the header, above and below it where it meets the cable. But, that glue is HOT and I don't want it to melt anything.
But who knows, maybe my problem is a cut in the drive wire by the display connector, or a weakened IDE header. And they resolve themselves when I take the cable out to tighten it, which never was at fault.
