So since I've upgraded, every time I reboot the player it has to rebuild the music and playlist databases. In addition to this problem, I can't sync to emplode for 3.0 nor jemplode. jemplode hangs at "checking media" and emplode gives error 0xc0041002 on checking database. Any ideas?

Connect a serial null modem cable to the player and a computer, and connect with some form of serial/terminal program (eg. Kermit).

Power on the empeg, observe all of the nice boot/startup messages, and then hit Control^C to kill off the player application.

Then type this:

rwm
player

...wait for the player to rebuild the databases and start playing again...

<control^C> (again)
rom
exit
