another quesation.... as the emepg does not have any subwoofer control what is the best way to overcome this?

An amp with a built-in crossover, or a separate crossover.
Fine tuning with the excellent empeg equalizer.

Edit: or remote control potentiometers

of course.. stupid me... my amp's does have crossover.. the 4 channel pioneer amp even have 2 line in for the 4 channels... and a line out.. which by logic must be output to the subwoofer amp.. my luck that i still have the manual somewhere

just did a little goggle and there has been made and sub out add on board... at least some one tried to make an add on to the optical out board.. but the question is then if hijack was updated to control this board and is there is still diagrams to it somewhere

what active crossover's are there with optical input?

what i look for as an alternative is a 4 channel croosover wich also has a sub out...

and active because is allready have a 4 channel amp and a 1 channel amp for the sub

i'm still looking for mk2a's...
