(admittedly not the best timing to announce this; never guessed the CA meet would be so soon.)

A NY/NJ area mini-meet is in the works for Saturday 7/14/07. The venue will be The Grease Trucks in New Brunswick, NJ.

If you don't know about The Grease Trucks, Maxim Magazine proclaimed they produced the best sandwich of 2004, the Fat Darrell. The Wikipedia page can try to describe it, but you have to taste one of these Fat sandwiches to appreciate the fries, cheese steak, marinara sauce, chicken fingers, and mozzarella sticks on them!

We'll meet in the parking lot at an as-of-yet undetermined time, hope we find a spot, then eat Fat sandwiches while showing off our radios to whoever cares, watching that they don't get stolen. I'll post a meet time once we figure it out.

If you're in the north east NJ or NYC area, stop by, it'll be fun.

Well, there is a tradition of people coming to meets without empegs and leaving WITH them; crazy raffle luck. However, this is less of a "meet" and more of a "eat bad-for-you food and look at car radios".

Probably meet sometime in the late afternoon. Around "you'll spoil your supper if you eat now" time.

Here's a Google Maps link to the trucks themselves. They're in this lot at the corner of College Ave and Hamilton St. That's the place to meet.

The NY/NJ meet is still on, even if it's just me and robricc eating sandwiches. Let's say 5:00pm in New Brunswick, to be early enough to get a parking spot, but late enough that it's close to dinner time.
