I've got a bit of an odd problem and can't seem to fix it.
Also checked the forums to no avail, so I apologise if this has been seen before.
My player is working absolutely fine, but the web interface shows an empty main playlist :/ (only Unattached items is visible)
I can see the fids by browsing to /drive0/fids and can even pick other playlists by changing the URL from /?fid=101... to something such as /?fid=121

Notify is on and everything else works (downloading, playing, etc.) it just seems that the main playlist has nothing attached on the web interface only. Any ideas?

That's one for the blue names to respond to. The Hijack web interface uses the actual FID files (and tag files) for it's interface, whereas the player software uses the binary pre-built database, so it is quite possible that one might work when the other fails. But *why* it has failed is the interesting question.. Peter, Roger ??

Hmm I'm wondering if there is a problem with the first '101' playlist fid. Would someone mind posting a sample one for comparison as I can see they are basically text files?

D'oh! didn't realise the fids has binary counterparts
figured I'd resync a few times to try to resolve this and its started freezing when checking disk integrity. The player also comes up with '0940.6 nomem err' now too. Odd since all I've done to it is add a few more tracks and upgraded to the latest hijack :/
Rolled back to v468 and its still bust:/

Hmm, an advanced search with refs>1 in emplode brings back the main Playlists folder (along with a few other bits). I can't remember if this is normal and if not would explain a recursion which could be leading to a memory leak and causing me these problems. I can't see it repeated in the folder tree, though.

The tree can't be more than 10 levels deep (it's quite a flat structure).
Still not sure whether this is the problem (would anyone mind telling me if an advanced search with refs>1 brings back the main playlists playlist?), but if emplode fixes it, it never reaches the point where the database is uploaded cos it falls over when checking disk integrity.

So multiple references to the main playlist is bad Can I force a rebuild without this? Removing the main fid perhaps?

Woohoo! Got it working
I found that the disk integrity check was running every time, so fixed that with FSCK. Synching was then happy, but the web playlists still didn't work. I figured it was still a problem with the root playlist, so deleted it using jEmplode (emplode won't let you do this). A sync on jEmplode made it all very messy, so I didn't save it. Instead a sync with emplode rebuilt the root playlist (and renamed it from playlists to allmusic :/).
Don't know what the problem was or how I caused it, but all is now good.
