dear all,
i haven't been here for years now... time simply doesn't allow..
as one of my two disks in my MkII Empeg now starts to fail i got a new diskdrive (Hitachi Travelstar, 100 GB) and i wanted to upgrade my player - at least i wanted to replace the two existing disks (30+40 GB) with the new one.
i followed the instructions of how to upgrade on riocar.org.
- downloaded software (emplode v2.0)
- installed emplode
- downloades emplode new version v2.10
- downloaded disk-builder (old and newer 20011022) for mk II
- downloaded player images (alpha 3.11 and consumer 2.00 - developer)
- run the disk-builder - it seemed to run ok, stresstest was made
- stopped stress test and installed the consumer 2.00, which also didn't come up with any error.
but now i can't connect to the empeg neither with emplode v2.0 nor emplode v2.1.
when connecting it v2.0 comes to the point "checking media", then player reboots and emplode immidately ends.
when connecting with v2.10 i get an error at "checking database" and i can't do anything further.
when i connect with hyperterminal i get following output:

so to me it seems as if the disk hasn't been formated correctly or cant be mounted or something like this...
could someone give me a hint of how to handle? is the disk maybe too large for the player? (100 GB)
what could i do?
