Has anyone got experience of Open Xchange ?

We need to move away from NT4.0 at work, thought it might be a good time to move our Exchange Server to a different platform

Thats the long and short of it. I suppose the only features that they really use are the calendar/task manager and address book. Is there another option? The Mozilla calendar/address books aren't anywhere near as good.

Check out the new version of SmarterMail from SmarterTools. They just added calendar and tasks into version 3.0. It's not open source, but at least it's not a microsoft product!

Unfortunately not exactly perfect:

"SmarterMail is acting as a SharePoint sever for the calendars. SharePoint unfortunately does not allow Outlook to make changes to the webmail calendar. You can only make changes in webmail and have them reflected in Outlook."

Just in case anyone else is considering it we went in the end for a Scalix/Outlook setup, works really well. The setup/migration took longer than anticipated but the Exchange server was running alongside all the time so no issues for our users.
