Is the latest version of the empeg beta software the version that enables the seek mode with the tuner? if so, is it pretty stable or have there been any bugs?

Yes, I second what Rob said. If you want to use the seek mode with the tuner, use 2.0 beta 13.

Depends on whether you have a tuner and how you use it. If you don't use the scan function on your tuner, 2.0 final is definitely the one you want.

Do not use a V3 alpha. Use 2.0 beta 13, since you want the seek function.
