.. will be returning to life after the empeg meet for spares, repairs, and upgrades.

The address for queries is now: carsupport@empegrepair.com

A new website with prices and info will be available at: www.empegrepair.com

Those people with queries waiting in my inbox will be dealt with in order.

Those people with outstanding repairs and tuner builds will receive notifications as soon as their players are back in working order.

New repair work and build work will be dealt with in the order of submission. Allow the usual max. 14 day turnaround. I am still accepting requests for tuner builds and will now also handle memory board installations on all models, including Mk 1 memory upgrades.

Do NOT send players or other parts to me for repair before I authorise it , otherwise in all likelihood the delivery will fail, with the possible chance of loss of the material. So don't do it!

I have sourced new handle springs, and Mk 2 cables are being re-manufactured to a slightly modified spec. I will be re-manufacturing sled harnesses also. The usual selection of spares will be available, which I'll be putting up on the website with prices.

Looking forward to starting up again in far more stable circumstances!

Sorry it's been such a long, hard road for you. Thanks for making the effort to get back up and running.

I must admit that I'm selfishly and gleefully looking forward to hearing from you re: shipping my player.

Rob -- Yay! Glad to hear it, and glad to have the oppourtunity to send business your way. Thanks for the status update, it's nice to know now things are moving along.

You've probably already thought of this, but for those of us who are relatively new to the costs and effort it takes to make repairs, would it be possible to put up some into on yourwebsite about basic costs and such, like you did in this thread? Maybe too many people would take that as a hard estimate rather than the ballpark figure it is, but it would certainly help me budget.

Yup, the idea is that the website will include parts lists and prices, work rates, infomation about common problems, photos, DIY info (!), and contact details. Should be easier to estimate what it's going to cost. But DON'T FORGET - in the end, even if I spend 20+ hours trying to fix things, I am highly unlikely to charge the full amount. The idea is to get the player going again so that the number of players in the community is maintained. The more, the better!
