I've been using v3 for a bit now most recently alpha7. Anyways, when I try to sync new music in emplode it's usually 50/50 as to wether it works, this is apparent in alpha8 too. What usually happens is it gets as far as mounting R/W, deleting the databases and then stalls at the first playlist to add. I've left it for up to an hour with no avail. Other times it just zips through and works. Anyone else have this?

I do as well. I have tried over ethernet, and USB with multiple cables... Haven't tried over serial. (3.0a7 only)

Time to do the obvious next step.. hook up the serial port and watch for error messages during the USB/ethernet sync operation. Post them once collected.

I'm not 100% sure but I think I've looked on the serial port and not seen anything, I'll give it another go later.

Same thing happens to me.. serial port doesn't show any problems... I have asked repeatedly before and I thought it was just me until the last week or so when I've seen 2 other posts abotu this..

I get various other syncing errors as well. I'll post log entries as they occur.

They're all normal apart from these two:

server_protocol_handler.cpp:1389:Timeout during synchronise, restarting player
! tags.cpp : 61:Failed to open tags (0xc0041002).

It looks like it lost the connection to the PC running Emplode, jEmplode and therefore the sync wasn't completed properly.
