here is my problem. not really a big deal, but when i shuffle my main playlist, the music almost always hangs for a second or two while i assume the empeg devotes its processor power to shuffling the thousand plus songs.

here is my idea. i dont know if this is feasible or not, but it dosen't seem that difficult. why not que up the shuffle request and execute it when the current song finishes. this way the inevitable break in the music comes at a natural point, the pause between songs.

of course as i am writing this, it occurs to me that this may not be possible because of the caching that the empeg does, but not sure. at least make me feel smart and tell me that this would be a good idea otherwise.

No need to worry. It has been reported already that the upcoming version 1.1 will execute shuffles in another thread, eliminating the pause. This extends to the Tweak Order functions and possibly some other functions as well.
