Greetings everyone! Long time no see!
I've got two new mixes up for you. The (twenty-)first, Meaty Beats 1, is a funky, breaksy beaty mix covering ground from Green Velvet's La La Land through Insomnia by Faithless and Keep Hope Alive by Crystal Method to finish on the funky original mix of Neon by Moogwai.
The (twenty-)second is The Psyonics Workshop 1 - Meditation. This is a mix I put together as a sort of small tribute to the website http://www.psyshop.com, which has the winning combination of an amazing range and great prices (especially if you're Australian and import albums cost twice what you pay at PsyShop). Featuring tracks from Juno Reactor, Total Eclipse, Magnetrixx, Sensient, Neelix and a few others, this is the first in a series and there's even a bit of a story to get you in the mood!
I'm attempting to distribute the newer mixes via BitTorrent, using the Azureus combined client and tracker. If you have any problems please email me at paulway@mabula.net - likewise if you have any experience with using Azureus' tracker, as I'm not sure I've got it set up right... You'll also have to put up with my relatively slow 64Kbit upload rate, at least until we get a few more seeds online.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Damn. I'm behind a pretty restrictive firewall - among other things it dosn't allow bittorrent transfers. Damn!
Edit:
Is there someone who has allready downloaded the new mixes, that would be so kind to share them with me? (email/ftp/http) Plllllleeease!

Knew this was going to happen.
I would have kept them on Synergy's server as before but unfortunately he's run out of room. So as an interim measure until a new site with more space becomes available (which is not going to be my home site www.mabula.net), you can use FTP to access my machine in all its crappy 64kbit uplink glory. DSL, eh?
Try ftp://empeg@tangram.dnsalias.net - let me know if you have any problems with it.
Have fun,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Try ftp://empeg@tangram.dnsalias.net - let me know if you have any problems with it.
I've just tried, ftp times out. I'm able to traceroute to your ip adress though.

I'm not all that familiar with bittorrent, but don't you still have to post the small .torrent files somewhere? I have no idea how to download without those files as a starting point.

Seems rather simple. Pay a visit to http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/ and download bittorrent. Save the two link files from Pauls website to your desktop, rename them to <original-file-name>.torrent - icon changes, click one of them and bittorrent comes up trying to download the file. If you have a more tolerant firewall than i do, then it'll start downloading..

Save the two link files from Pauls website
That is my point. Where is the website with the links? It isn't mentioned in his post.

They're on his homepage (which he does mention above) www.mabula.net - follow the Mixes link.

Ahhahahahah - how stupid of me to forget the one thing I needed above all else to mention! Yes, I've moved the main site into my new domain and it's now at http://www.mabula.net/mixes. Astute viewers will realise that the files are still hosted from the old paulway.d0gz.net domain, but this way it gets integrated into the rest of my web site.
I'm now in the process of generating and seeding torrent files for the rest of the collection, so if anyone wants to be generous and be a seed to share out the bandwidth (in the spirit of BitTorrent... ) then that'd be great. My brother (on a 128kbit upload link) is going to help out with a few of them too so that'll speed things up too.
Long live distributed bandwidth!
Have fun,
Paul

Hmmm. I did have something flat-out downloading last night - try again now that I've got some incoming bandwidth free.
Mind you, I'm still not sure I've set up SmoothWall to send incoming FTP traffic to the right address - I've got ports 20 and 21 forwarded; that should be enough, right?
HTH,
Paul

I've just tried again - no luck. Have you forwarded both UDP and TCP on port 20 and 21 ? Are the packets allowed out of the firewall ?
Cheers

I have both files down, and will keep the torrents up when I can. At night (here in the US), my connection should be pretty open and is a meg up. So feel free to use the torrents on the 160kbit files.
