Im having trouble while trying to upload my songs onto the empeg. When I start uploading with either USB or serial the kbs start high then slow down to 0 once it get about 1.5mb into the song. Anyone know why?

Something wrong with your USB port most likely. Or the driver possibly. If you have the capability to do so, Ethernet is much faster than USB for the empeg.

I have version 2.0 on my empeg.I had the same problem using the serial also. I may pick up a router to use Ethernet

Is that 2.0 final, or one of the 2.0 betas? Are you running Windows XP, are you running version 2.0 of Emplode, and did you perform the steps in the readme file to install the new USB driver?

Also: is it stopping on the same file every time? Perhaps something is wrong with the song file.

The weird thing is it does it with serial and USB and it seems to have happened almost overnight. I uploaded 20 gigs about 2 weeks ago and had the normal USB speed but now its almost died. I have tried different files so its not the mp3 itself

Have you tried doing a disk check on the player? How much space do you have left?
