I have done a search before anyone says anything .

Typically when you have engine whine in your system, you can hear it whether the volume is up or down. Mine use to be that way. Now, my engine whine goes away if I turn the volume down, or it's louder the more volume I use, plus there is not only the whine, but also a deeper rumble kinda.

I had engine whine before, and I have used filters and they helped some, enough that it was tolerable. I installed Patricks tuner and put everything else back, and now I am have all this noise and stuff.

It seems really weird that the whine would come and go with the volume.

Any ideas !?

It seems as though the noise is being amplified within the empeg, ie the source is (before) the empeg. Given that you've just installed a tuner, I suspect that this is a contributing factor. Unplug the tuner and see if the noise goes away.

Agreed.

I had whine come and go with volume as well in an old car / old setup. The noise was being picked up in the patchcords (induced I guess) between my head deck and amp. Seems that the amp went ahead and amplified everything it got, music and whine both.

I guess I'm saying I'm not surprised.

I will give that a try.

If that is the culprit, what can I do to fix it?

Well, then we'd have to determine whether the noise is coming from the tuner itself and then being amplified by the empeg, or whether the addition of the tuner has simply made an existing condition worse. I suspect the former.

I have determined it is the tuner. When listening to the tuner, the whine and stuff is audible, when I switch it to Player, the whine and noise is gone !!!

Any solutions ?!?!?

Did you assemble it yourself?

No, mrfixit, one of the members on here assembled it for me.

It works fine, except for that.

Ok, before we attack the tuner itself, unplug the antenna and see if you can determine whether there's any change.
