I got my Pcats tuner installed and working great now. I just wanted to know if there is somewhere I can get some info on what all the on screen displays for the radio functions are and mean. Like RDS, and stuff.. I noticed some of the stations, the call letters come up, and so will song titles, but it's all mispelled and stuff.

Hi, I havent been on the board in a few days so I missed the probs you had with your wire harness but I am glad to see you got it fixed. I found this post about the tuner display, as for the rds feature in the US you are lucky if you see any rds info because there are not many stations that broadcast rds info like there is in other countries.

Yeah, I was just curious what some of the stuff means. The letters RDS pop up alot on the stations, and just one of them shows the song titles, but they are all screwed up and stuff.

That helps. What is the other symbol that shows up next to where the letters RDS show up ? It looks like 2 circles intertwined ?

Is there a fix for the one station that shows the titles and stuff but has them all jumbled ?

The two intertwined circles is the stereo symbol (ie indicating whether the signal is strong/good enough to get stereo from (if weak, the radio falls back to mono)

Jumbled RDS texts happens to me on weak stations - hows your overall reception quality?

Hey, like totally cool!! One of our newer local stations has full RDS !!!

So I actually get to see the feature in action finally! Really cool! Call letters, tune title/performer, ....

Holy shut! There's five stations locally with RDS carriers, four of which are actually making use of it! Last time I checked (maybe a year ago) there were zero!

The very boring looking INFO-Tuner display just got a lot more interesting!

Yes. No RDS == no "RDS" letters on the tuner screen.

Oddly enough, one of our local stations here causes the "RDS" letters to appear, but there's no additional info on the tuner screen for them.
