Is there some kind of report for the Empeg day
that was held in Amersfoort?

I was planning on coming,
but i slept almost the whole day :(
Had a rough night...

Would like to know how it was,

Sorry I have not posted something about this before now...

In spite of pretty appalling weather, the empeg Users's meet in Amersfoort went really well, with people turning up from all over the place (more about that in a later report). I am currently sorting out the photographs and scanning them in; we already have a large web site built and we should see it go live sometime this week, probably Thursday or Friday.

The meeting was enough fun to make it worthwhile doing it again sometime soon, so when I've recovered enough I'll think about what we can do in the future.

I'm over in Reading, so I guess I've got no excuses, other than I can't drive through France (without removing the radar detector - don't ask).

I'm happy to arrange a meet in the UK - how about somewhere middling - Oxford or something similar?

Perhaps a motorway service station (ugh) or a Pub?

I think that David and Henrick came through Oostend from Dover, so that would not be a problem.

I have no problems with you putting a meet together - I don't have a franchise on the idea, as it was just an off-the-cuff thing anyway. I was pleasantly surprised by just how many people turned up, and the distance they came!

For those of you absolutely desperate to see yourself immortalised on a web page, here is a preliminary collection of images from the empeg User Meet last weekend. It's a little bit rough and ready at the moment, but it gives you feel of the friendly atmosphere of the meet (and the bad weather!).

Not all the photos are ready yet, unfortunately, and more will be added with time. Due to my work commitments this week (and also finding another job) I haven't been able to stick in snappy comments for each picture to explain what they are. I'll do this early next week, and post a report as well.

Thanks are due to Mo Rolland for photography (see if you can work out which is his picture !) and expertise with the preparation of this website!

When do I get some of those new brochures to keep in my glove box? I'll need something to give to folks when they ask what my personalized license plate means.

Now that the cat's out of the bag with the new remote, are you sticking with that design? On the alpha list, you seemed to indicate that the final version might end up being a bit flashier than that one.

The brochures are old - we'll have some new ones by the end of the month. The T Shirts were limited edition, but we'll have 2 or 3 different styles available to buy from our store within the next month or so.

There was talk of a Bay Area meet, but I haven't heard anything since. There are 3 - 4 times as many of you in the Bay Area as there were in Holland so there's no excuse!

If something is being organised please let me know - if empeg are to have a presence we'll need lots of notice.

Well, I don't think I'll be making it over there anytime soon, seeing as that is almost as far as Holland for me (I know it isn't, but relatively speaking).

Sounds like a good idea. I'm suprised Tony hasn't gotten something together, seeing as he's a regular attendee of other conventions

This came up in conversation with Zander (n6mod) at the pub on Friday night (he's over for a trade show, the best way to cure jetlag is to go drinking with empeg). If someone doesn't hurry up and organise a Bay Area meet soon I think I'll do it myself!
