which costs about £134 quid (at least here in the UK). Expensive just for series access.

These housings are great! Especially no. 3, although I wonder wether it'd look even better if it was distressed

Holy !!!!, that's pretty awesome! No, that's QUITE awesome. Rack mount that sucker above an amp, DAT, EQ, CDR, and some other stuff, and it will blend right in.

But, about the cables in the back: they kinda seem to take away from it. Would it be possible to mount the empeg in the center of the box and extend the rear connectors, like you extended the front display? Shouldn't be TOO hard (though it'd be a lot of silly 4" cables) and it would clean up the appearance of the rear of the unit.

But heck, that thing looks SO nice!!

Oh yeah, and is that a FAT flat screen TV in the background reflecting off the mirror just behind the box? Haha, nice!

My first idea was also to mount the empeg in the center.
This solution needs more parts an there is much more handwork.
The main problem is the standing out of the bracket to mount the handle.
After I found a good solution to extend the display-cable the solution with centered mounting died.

To extend the display-cable is normaly a no go.
I made a pcb with two 20pin connectors on it. (same type as on the mainboard of the empeg) I found also the rare 20pin 1mm pitch ribbon cable and the crimp connectors.
I use also a ground-cable to connect the display with the main unit. I made the extension short as possible.
I think with all this arrangements is quite save to take away the display unit.
