I am going to have installed my 2nd empeg into my 93 MR2, but want to have a CD player (for tuner purposes mostly) installed. It is a double din factory stereo. Is this a fairly simple process as far as the wiring goes. Would the alpine simply plug into the aux inputs if the empeg? Thanks!

The Alpine CD Receiver is quite likely to have two pairs of preouts - one for the front and one for the rear. Also, depending on the model, you may be able to disable the Alpine's internal amplifier (if it has one), in order to have cleaner sound come from the preouts (or so they say).

I would simply connect the front pair of preouts from the Alpine into the AUX in pair of the empeg. I am using the same method to run my empeg through my Kenwood headunit, since I don't currently have an external amplifier.
