I can't believe the Cubs and the Sox aren't going to the World Series. That just sucks. Frankly, I think this is bad for baseball. I know several people who aren't avid fans of the game (myself included), who were watching just to see the underdogs go to the top. Now we have the Yankees, the definitive non-underdog team (overdog?), and the Marlins, who have no history.

I may not be the biggest baseball fan, but I root for my home team (Orioles), and all I know is that I'm not a Yankees fan. How boring is it to see a team out-buy every other team and win one championship after another?

But I can't fault the two advancing teams. The underdogs blew it. There's no way the Cubs should have lost their series. What a bummer. Looks like it's back to football for my TV.

We'll, obviously i'm here in miami so I was going for the Marlins. I was at the world series in 97, but sadly the tickets for this year were sold out in around 3 hours.

After the game the streets were crazy (at least around my area). My roommate and I got in my car and drove around 8th st and Bird Road. Just about everyone was honking thier horns wildly, well everyone except for the one cub fan we saw. A bit down bird road hundreds's of people gathered and blocked the whole road... it was crazy. Good times.

One thing that I found funny is that a psychic came to one of my courses for a lecture and had said they were going to win (this was at least 2 weeks ago).

Heck, it's been over 10 years since the only local team I care about has done anything, but that's the life of a Redskins fan
