Does anyone know of a company/website where I can send them a CD label template or picture and they can print out CD label stickers of them and mail them back to me?

Now I've seen 1 or 2 sites where they will mail you back blank CDs with the labels on them but I don't need the CDs.. just the labels.

Just curious, but why would you just need the CDs? If you're going to spend the money to have a company do printing for you, you might as well have them done right and printed directly onto the CDs.

Anyway, I'll ask a friend of mine if he knows. He does stuff similar to this (not exactly, of course) all the time, so he probably knows.

I don't need the CDs, I just need the labels. The reason is I would rather burn the CDs myself and just stick the labels on. Granted its nice if the company does the label and sends me the blanks but its a lot more expensive when they do that.

If you just want the labels, why not print them out yourself? Good inkjets these days produce good (if expensive) results. The nice thing about having them printed on the CD is that you don't have the problems with applying them perfectly, and it'll probably look more professional.

Don't you have a laser or inkjet printer of your own? You can just buy blank CD label stock and print your own labels on them.

There are some really nice little kits you can buy which include the labels, the software, and a spindle-doohickey to make sure the labels are centered perfectly before you stick them down. We've been using that stuff for years here with great success.

Yeah unfortunately all I have is a B&W printer else I would do it myself. I guess the reason I wanted to have some company do it is because I really don't use my printer (other than this assuming it were color). I want to print out like 100-200 labels and I thought it would be cheaper to have a company print out that many than to have to buy replacement color toner cartridges.

Maybe it's not.. I don't know. I was just curious if there were any services like this out there. I may just end up having to buy a color printer, whether there aren't any services like this or the rates end up being too high.

Oh, I see.

Okay, just go into your local Kinko's and use their color copier and/or color laser printer. Make sure to account for registration shift on your source image (i.e., bleed the image edges past the label edges a bit).

Kinkos? I'm not sure if they'll let you run your own label paper through their color printers, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I've found that each kinkos has one resident geek who will do anything, and the rest all say no. Try and locate the resident geek.

I'd figure Kinkos would have their own labels to print. Surely one of their services is to print color labels.

Yeah I called Kinkos and asked them if they provided this service and they said no. That's when I posted on here.

However, I didn't ask them if I could bring in my own labels and then use their printers. I'm assuming no on that one too, which in that case, like someone said, I will need to find the resident geek there to help me out.
