I found this today while looking for power supplies.... Would this make soldering that pesky resistor pack for the button hack easier?

If you used tin in paste form, maybe. Then you could essentialy pick it up and place it, hold for a second or two and then let go. I found the problem not being the two sides, but rather the very small distance between the contact surfaces on the side where you have to keep the connectors separate, and the tins willingness to form bridges. That's generally controllable with good fluss.

It's not too bad with just a nice soldering iron (0.01" tip), and lots of flux.
