Nah, it's not an April Fool's joke. At least it's not anymore, it may have been originally but it's definately been around for a while.
I've actually seen random segments on TV about it. There was some competition in Europe somewhere and people were judged on style and how "extreme" it was.

Yeah - I saw a full hour (it could have only been half) programme on TV earlier in the year, covering the world championships held in Germany somewhere!

Man, there were some serious ironists there! I seem to remember the British team had to cadge a lift from the TV crew that were filming them because their van broke down People were ironing up trees and ontop of cars - pretty extreme.

Towards the end of the programme was a breakaway extreme domestic chore sport, dunno what they called it but it involved sitting on a hoover and descending a steep hill somewhere outside Manchester!

Hmm... I need to sand and refinish the front door of my house. How could I do it in a more extreme fashion?

Ermm... Using a belt sander with an elasticated power cord and doing it nude? I'd say that was pretty extreme

It wouldn't make me hate ironing any less, maybe guys enjoy it better making a sport out of it.

While this is pretty ... ummmm ... something ... it still doesn't stack up to the pure idiocy of Cup Stacking. At least ironing has a use of some nature.

Ok, cup stacking is kind of idiotic. It is interesting to watch, though. It's insane how fast some of these people (kids) are.

Spend time with your kids, raise money for AIDS research, build model airplanes, read a book, THINK about something, go to work, look for work, write a poem, climb a mountain, go dancing, love your spouse, get a pet, get a life.
