Well, the dreaded moment has arrived. The FedEx man just delivered a box that says empeg all over the outside of it.

Incredible as it may seem, I have not been anticipating this moment with unabashed joy. Because now and for the next few weeks at least, anything remotely resembling leisure time will be a thing of the past. I am sure this damn thing is now going to take over my life. I'm gonna have to learn how to run it, how to fill it up with music, get it installed in my car, find out that I messed up all the ID3 tags and have to fill it up with music all over again...

Oh, God, what have I done!

For the last time, Doug, you should really just relax. It's so much easier to operate it in person than it is to talk about operating it.

Oh, and congratulations.

Now, you're going to follow this up with a full review, right?

Make sure to include what your wife thinks about it, too. I'm interested in knowing how she reacts to it, since she's probably been slightly puzzled by your obesession with it as you waited for your queue position.

After reading about everyone elses excitment I really had convinced myself I would *not* be that excited by yet another gadget arriving - however I have to admit, sat here with four PC's converting my CD collection to MP3, erm "working at home" waiting for TNT to arrive. I stayed up all night reading the message board and any FAQ's I could find. No doubt it will arrive and I will be too tired to even open the box. . .. . . . as I was typing TNT arrived :-)

Oh, God, what have I done!

Too late now, mate

Congratulations, Doug - I hope it's been worth the wait!
