You know the little bit of plastic with colo(u)red coded wires that plugs into the sled wiring harness.
Well the second sled that I purchased didn't come with one, which I will soon need so I can move the empeg from my car (daily commuter) to my wife's (long trips) and back.

Question is, why are you concerned about that plug connector? You don't actually need it for a proper installation. You can just cut the wires and solder them to the aftermarket harness adapter. The only purpose for that ISO adapter plug is so that you can "save" the existing ISO plug that's on the sled already.

Not really. It's not that critical for a "used" sled. He could save the connector and re-solder it back on. Or just give the cut-off connector to the buyer (because even the buyer might not want/need it).

I got an ISO connector from a local VW dealer. It was a standard part for a couple of years ('95-'00 Jetta's or something). The plastic housing and the pins/wires are separate parts, I almost walked off with just the housing.
