OK, call me an idiot But in an attempt to replace a faulty Travelstar I ripped the IDE connector off the end of the cable in my MKII. I'm just a hamfisted Yorkshireman Anyway, I have a replacement drive ready to drop in, but need a new cable. Can someone help me out with a part no. and supplier?

Cheers,

M

Greetings!

Custom cable (length between connectors). You might want to email support or build your own. If it is any consolation, I did the exact same thing the first time around, but was able to squeeze the connector together and use some hot glue to fix it.

Is there anything I could change in the Drive Upgrade Guide that would have prevented you from doing this?

If you damage the cable, a replacement is 15UKP including postage. email carsupport@sonicblue.com for details.
