I'm trying to install Charcaolgray's Web Interface to my Empeg but can't get anything to FTP. Is there something I need to do to "unlock" the Empeg before sending the files via FTP? I'm using WS_FTP to transfer and having no luck, please help.

Have you put the drives in RW mode?

You need to use the command site rw. Some clients require to to use quote site rw.

Remember to do site ro (with prepended 'quote' if necessary) when you're finished so that you leave the disks mounted read only.

There's a "Hijack" section to the FAQ you might want to read.

if anyone knows about WS_FTP, how do I send the command site rw after I've created it?

(Guessing that this actually works)

Right click somewhere on the remote site side of the WS_FTP window once connected. Choose "FTP Commands" from the context menu. Choose SITE. Type in RW. Click OK.

Don't forget to set it back to RO before rebooting the player, or you're in for an FSCK.

is there a FAQ entry for Web Interface? Searched for it but didn't come up with anything specific. When I click "Stream" from the home page, I get a "page cannot be found" error. Also, when I went to "Download" from the home page and scrolled to the bottom there was a link for "Playlists" and I clicked on it. Once in playlists, I clicked on "Stream" and the only thing that happend was the drives on my Empeg started to chatter (actually, they went on for about 4-5 minutes). I can get the interface to play music from the Empeg into Winamp with no problem by finding a playlist and selecting "Play", but this doesn't give me any "Now Playing" info on the home page.
