You know the gold film which goes on the outer visor of space helmets? Would it be possible to sandwitch that screen onto contact lenses?
The benefits would be an extremely dark tint, radiantion proofing and GOLD EYES!

I think they do that, or something very much like it, for special make-up effects in movies.

You would of course need full-eye contacts, as UV gets through the white bits of your eye pretty well too.

By the way, if you find a place that does these for a reasonable price - I want some!

I did a bit of research into contacts a while back - just searching again there are a *lot* of places selling "novelty" contacts and a few have reflective ones like this place - £24.99/pair for a 30 day pair - though if you clean them like proper ones I suspect you might get them to last longer, though you risk getting some eye munching infection I guess.
